Understanding your Clarion report.
Use the report to revisit what was said, what people committed to, and how the conversation unfolded. Read the findings alongside the context you bring to the meeting.
Start with the overall picture
Read the Clarion Brief for a narrative summary, then use Overview to orient yourself. Compare that summary with your own understanding before exploring individual commitments, positions, or conversation events.
The report supports reflection. It is not a verdict on a participant, a personality assessment, or a substitute for your judgment.
What each section helps you examine
Overview
Get an initial view of the conversation and the report’s main areas. Use it to choose which details to review next.
Clarion Brief
Read a narrative account of the discussion, including how the conversation developed and where it led.
Commitments
Review the actions or promises identified in the discussion. Check the wording, who is responsible, and any timing against what participants understood.
Positions
Examine participants’ viewpoints and areas of agreement or disagreement. Consider whether a position changed as the conversation progressed.
People
Review the participant context presented in the report. Interpret each person’s contributions within the discussion rather than treating them as a fixed personal trait.
CI Skill Events
Explore the communication-skill events identified in the exchange. Review examples in context; an event count is not a score of a person’s ability or value.
Conversation Pulse
Look at the communication patterns summarized for the conversation. Use the overview as a starting point for questions about how the exchange unfolded.
Turn the report into a useful follow-up
- Check the context. Compare the report with what was said and what participants intended.
- Clarify commitments. Confirm owners, next steps, and deadlines with the people involved.
- Explore differences. Use positions and conversation events to ask questions, rather than assume you know another person’s motives.
- Choose one next step. Identify a concrete clarification or change to bring to the next conversation.
Something looks incomplete or inaccurate?
