Clarion Privacy & Consent

Transparency & Trust

Conversational intelligence should never happen in the background. Clarion is designed to make its presence clear, give participants a meaningful choice, and keep people in control throughout the conversation.

Everyone should know when Clarion is in the room.

When a Clarion agent joins a Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet conversation, invited participants are notified. Clarion waits while the required consent is obtained before recording begins or resumes.

1

Visible by design

Clarion's presence is made clear to meeting participants. Recording is not intended to be hidden or treated as an invisible background process.

2

A meaningful choice

Participants are given the opportunity to consent to Clarion joining the conversation or decline by leaving before recording begins.

3

Human control

Control does not end after a meeting starts. The people responsible for the conversation retain control over Clarion throughout the meeting.

Consent comes before recording.

Clarion pauses while consent is being obtained. It does not begin—or resume—until the required consent has been provided.

✓

Consent to Clarion

Participants can choose to continue with Clarion present in the meeting.

×

Decline participation

Participants who do not wish to be part of a recorded conversation can leave before recording begins.

Control continues throughout the conversation.

Both the owner of the Clarion agent and the meeting host can control Clarion during the meeting. Consent is not treated as a one-time decision that removes human control.

Pause Pause Clarion whenever the conversation calls for it.
Resume Resume Clarion when it is appropriate to continue.
Stop Stop Clarion completely at any point in the meeting.

Trust starts with making the process visible.

Clarion is built around a straightforward principle: people should know when conversational intelligence is present, understand their choices, and remain in control. Because useful conversational intelligence begins with transparency and trust.
